Origin. GTA V shows painted portraits while the game loads, and some of them only appear when loading takes unusually long. On 30 October 2023 TikTok user @zvitalonyt posted a POV video about spotting rare loading screens; it passed 436,000 likes. From April 2025 creators began inserting public figures and meme characters as fake loading screens, and some versions reached millions of views.
How people use it. As a "you've been waiting way too long" template and as a style for portraits of friends, pets and celebrities.
