Grove Street World (GTA filter)

Origin. Creator Nikita Treshalov published the lens on Snapchat in early May 2021. TikTok videos using it passed half a million views within days, a clip of a cat facing the virtual gang reached 1.1 million in two days, and "how to get the GTA filter" guides followed on 11 May.

How people use it. People film the characters in their kitchen, classroom or car, usually with the San Andreas theme playing, and act as if the gang dropped by uninvited.

Example. The four characters crowding a tiny dorm room while the roommate keeps doing homework.

Know Your Meme lists it as a submission and calls the release date approximate.
