Six formats

What you can make

Each format is a DareBay task with its own rate, budget and dates. Film it your way and keep the rules below.

  • Close-up of a shocked Iguanito, eyes bulging and jaw dropped, his sunglasses sliding down his snout.

    Character reaction

Put a character from the kit over your clip on green screen and answer real gaming news with their line.

Example: “The day-one patch is 150 GB.” Cut to Iguanito falling off his palm: “Cold news.”

    Length
    10–25 seconds
    Where
    TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels
  • Don Chompo shaking his head at the motel pool, one paw raised in a firm nope.

    Remix of the week’s template

Take the week’s template from the kit (the templates folder), put your own text on it in your own editor and post it as a short: your reaction, your voice or a screen recording of you making it.

Example: the Nope template with Don Chompo, “Sharing my chips” on top and “Nope.” below.

    Length
    7–20 seconds
    Where
    TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels
  • Val in shock with her hands on her cheeks, lit by her ring light at night.

Duet with a Loco Coast video

Duet or remix the Loco Coast video linked in the task (Duet on TikTok, Remix on Shorts and Reels) and add your half of the joke.

Example: in our video Grandpa Preload watches a download bar crawl; in your half, you watch yours.

    Length
    Up to 30 seconds
    Where
    TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels
  • Extreme close-up of Flamingita giving a slow, judgmental side-eye.

    Meme carousel of the week

A photo post on TikTok, or a slideshow video on YouTube Shorts or Instagram Reels: 5 to 7 memes of the week from Loco Coast with your one line on each, and our end card last.

Example: slide 1 “This week on Loco Coast”, slides 2 to 6 the memes, slide 7 the end card.

    Length
    5 to 7 memes
    Where
TikTok as a photo post; YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels as a slideshow video (photo posts there show no view count)
  • Grandpa Preload asleep in his deckchair at night, his beard covering the floor and the controller slipping from his hand in the glow of an old TV.

“N days to GTA 6” series

One short a day until GTA 6 comes out on November 19, 2026: the number of days, one character, one line.

Example: “7 days to GTA 6.” Grandpa Preload, beard down to the parking lot: “Any day now.”

    Length
    6–15 seconds, one a day
    Where
    TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels
  • Don Chompo guarding the motel pool like a bouncer, arms crossed behind a red velvet rope.

    “Vote for my meme”

Make a meme with the kit in your own editor and send it to the suggestion box in our Telegram or Discord. When our moderators add it to the week’s round, ask your viewers to vote for it.

Example: show your meme, say its title and “vote for it on Loco Coast, link in my profile”.

Send your meme to our Telegram or Discord
    Length
    7–20 seconds
    Where
    TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels

The rules

Every video, every time

A video that misses one of these is not paid.

  1. 1

“Loco Coast” in the title and caption

Write it in the video title (YouTube counts the title) and in the caption, with #LocoCoast.

  2. 2

    Say it once

Say “Loco Coast” out loud once, anywhere in the video.

  3. 3

End card for the last 2 seconds

Keep “Loco Coast” on screen for the last 2 seconds. The kit has ready end cards.

  4. 4

    Your link in your profile

Put lococoast.com/c/your-handle in your profile while the task runs.

  5. 5

    Label it as an ad

Turn on the platform’s paid partnership label and start the caption with #ad.

  6. 6

    Where to post

TikTok, YouTube Shorts or Instagram Reels: any platform the task lists.

  7. 7

    No coins, no crypto

Never mention coins, tokens or crypto in a Loco Coast task video.

Red lines

Never in a Loco Coast video

Any of these gets a video rejected, and some get it taken down by the platform.

Never

  • Anything from Rockstar Games or Take-Two: logos, game art, trailer frames, gameplay, leaked footage, the game’s music or radio.
  • The Pricedown font or a lookalike, and the exact WASTED, BUSTED or MISSION PASSED screen: a grey frame with big red letters.
  • Wanted stars, the cover grid or any other piece of the game’s own look.
  • Real private people: strangers filmed or named without consent, mugshots, someone’s photo as the joke.
  • Coins, tokens, crypto, or telling people to buy anything.

Always

  • “GTA 6” only as plain words, to say what the joke is about.
  • Your own footage, voice and edit, with our characters as they are in the kit.
  • Music from the platform’s library or your own, never the game’s.
  • Someone else’s meme only with their permission and credit.

What gets a video rejected

  • A rule above is missing: title, caption, voice, end card, profile link or ad label.
  • Any red line.
  • Bought or botted views.
  • A copy of someone else’s video, or the same video posted twice.
  • The video is deleted, hidden or made private before the task ends.

Lines

What the crew says

Read them out, put them on screen or write your own in the same voice: short, deadpan, about games, never about real people.

Questions

Before you start

How much do I get paid?
Each DareBay task shows its rate per 1,000 verified views, its budget and its dates. DareBay checks the views and pays you from the task’s budget.
Where are the tasks?
On DareBay (darebay.com), in the list of tasks. Loco Coast tasks appear there when they open.
Do I need a big account?
No. Each task states its own conditions, such as how many views a video needs before it starts earning.
Can I use the characters outside a task?
Yes, in your own non-commercial memes with credit to Loco Coast. Paid videos with them only through Loco Coast tasks.
Which platforms count?
TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels; each task lists its platforms. A meme carousel counts on TikTok as a photo post and elsewhere as a slideshow video: photo posts there show no view count.
