Privacy policy (draft)

Draft, pending legal review. Loco Coast has no accounts. We ask for a name and an email only when a brand requests a sponsorship quote. Votes use an anonymous device id, and we count visits ourselves without cookies. Details below.

Who we are

Loco Coast, an independent gaming meme studio. Operator: legal entity and address· coming soon. Privacy questions: privacy email· coming soon.

What we collect

  • An anonymous device id. When you vote, your browser gets a random id that is stored on your device. We use it to allow one vote per device per day and to spot automated voting. It contains no name or contact details.
  • Votes. Which meme got a vote, when, and from which device id.
  • Technical logs. Like most websites, our servers log IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and stop abuse. how long logs are kept· coming soon
  • Quote requests from brands. If you ask for a sponsorship quote on our For brands page, we store your name, work email, company and what you wrote, only to reply to you. Only our editors can read it, we send no newsletters, and we delete it when you ask.
  • Memes you send us. The site has no meme maker and takes no uploads from visitors. If you send a meme to our Telegram or Discord and agree to put it in a weekly round, a moderator adds the picture to the round with the name or handle you chose and a link to your post. Links to memes shared from the site's former editor (until 18 October 2026) no longer open, and their pictures are deleted 90 days after they were shared.

What stays on your device

  • Your votes of the day. Which memes you voted for today is remembered in your browser's local storage, so the buttons show it.
  • You can delete that and the device id at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Analytics and cookies

We count visits with our own code on our own server. No analytics company sees them, there are no advertising cookies, and nothing is stored on your device for counting, except one cookie when you come through a creator's link (below).

  • When you open a page, it tells our server its address (without anything after "?"), the site you came from (only its name, such as google.com or chatgpt.com, never the page there or what you searched), whether it is the first page of your visit, and the campaign tags in the link if there are any (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term).
  • When you do something, such as vote, send a meme to our chats, download a template or a meme, share a meme, open the portrait bot, open the coin page, join the launch room, add the launch to your calendar or read a GTA 6 guide, the page sends the name of the action and what it was about (for example which meme or which messenger).
  • From the request itself we take the page's language and the device type (phone, tablet or computer). We do not store your IP address or your browser's full user agent. To count visitors once per day we keep a hash of the IP address and user agent made with a random key that changes every day. The previous day's key is deleted, so nobody can be recognized from one day to the next and the hash cannot be turned back into an address.
  • Search engine and AI crawlers (Googlebot, GPTBot, ClaudeBot and the like) are counted by name, with the address they asked for and our answer code. Bots, scripts and the Loco Coast team's own visits are not counted as visitors.
  • How long: single events are deleted after 90 days. Daily totals (numbers only, without hashes) are kept.
  • One cookie, for creator links. If you open a creator's link (an address with /c/ and the creator's code), we keep that code in one cookie, lc_ref, for 90 days, so we know which video brought you. It holds the creator's code only, nothing about you. Downloading the creator kit is counted as an action.
  • Only the Loco Coast team sees these numbers. We do not sell personal data.

AI portraits in Telegram

Our Telegram bot draws you from your selfie as a resident of the Paraíso motel (how it works). It is for adults (18+) only, and you confirm that and agree to this section before your first photo.

  • What we keep: your numeric Telegram user id (to answer you and to refund Stars), your language, when you agreed, your portrait balance, your payments (Stars, date and Telegram's payment id), your finished portraits and the support requests you write. We do not ask for or keep your name, username, phone number or contacts.
  • Your photo: stored encrypted on our server only while your portrait is being made, and deleted right after it is drawn, 30 minutes after you sent it at the latest. A refused photo, or one without a chosen scene, is deleted too.
  • The check: before anything is drawn, an AI model looks at the photo once to make sure it shows one adult, with no nudity and no famous person. We keep only the outcome (for example "refused: several people"), never the photo.
  • Who processes it: to check and draw it, the photo goes to kie.ai (NexusAI Services LLC, USA), which runs the AI models (Google's Gemini image models). kie.ai keeps the drawn pictures on its servers for up to 14 days, and its own terms and privacy policy apply there. Telegram carries our messages and processes the Stars payments.
  • No training: we never use your photos or portraits to train AI, and we never sell them.
  • Your portraits: kept encrypted in your gallery in the bot until you delete them. /delete removes one portrait, all of them, or all your data (portraits, links, support requests and your consent). Payment records stay for accounting and refunds. how long payment records are kept after legal review· coming soon
  • Share links: a public link to a portrait exists only if you make one in the bot. Anyone with the link can see the picture; the page is hidden from search, expires after 90 days and disappears at once when you delete the portrait.
  • The chat itself: your photos and our replies also stay in your Telegram chat with the bot until you delete them there, under Telegram's privacy policy.
  • AI label: every portrait carries a small "AI portrait" mark with our address, and a machine-readable AI tag in the file.

Who else is involved

  • Our hosting provider stores the site and its logs. hosting provider· coming soon
  • If you share a meme to Telegram, WhatsApp, X or another app, or send one to our Telegram or Discord, that app's privacy policy applies there.
  • If you take paid creator tasks on DareBay, DareBay's privacy policy applies to that work.
