GTA cover parodies

GTA cover parodies are remakes of the Grand Theft Auto box art, the collage of tilted panels with characters, cars and places that the series has used since GTA III in 2001. People put friends, cartoons or politicians into the panels, and the format dates back to 2005.

Origin. GTA III (22 October 2001) introduced the multi-panel collage cover, and later games kept it. On 12 June 2005 the humor site Fugly posted the oldest parody Know Your Meme records. Fark ran a Photoshop thread in 2008, and versions with SpongeBob, My Little Pony and Game of Thrones followed.

How people use it. Fan art, team posters, birthday cards and political jokes. The June 2026 GTA VI cover reveal started a new wave.

Example. An office team photo cut into tilted panels, with the coffee machine in the corner where the sports car usually goes.

Loco Coast does not reproduce the cover grid; our templates use our own layouts.
