Is GTA 6 coming to PC? Release status and what Take-Two said

What Rockstar and Take-Two have said

• Rockstar, 15 October 2026: the Launch Trailer post says GTA 6 "arrives November 19 to PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S". No other platform is mentioned on its site or in its posts (Rockstar Newswire).
• Strauss Zelnick, Take-Two's CEO, May 2026: asked by Bloomberg, he said Rockstar "always starts on console" to serve its core players first: "Historically, Rockstar's gone to console first." No word on when PC follows (TweakTown).
• Zelnick at Take-Two's annual stockholder meeting, 17 September 2026: asked about rising console prices, he reportedly said that if the console platform stopped being viable, Take-Two would adopt a PC strategy. Again, no date for GTA 6 on PC (Beebom).

How long Rockstar's last games took

• GTA V: consoles on 17 September 2013, PC on 14 April 2015: 19 months later (Wikipedia).
• Red Dead Redemption 2: consoles on 26 October 2018, PC in November 2019: about 12 months later (Wikipedia).

The same gaps after 19 November 2026 would land somewhere between late 2027 and mid 2028. That is arithmetic, not an announcement.

Can you play GTA 6 on a PC anyway?

Only by streaming your own console. The PlayStation Store lists Remote Play as supported, so a PS5 owner can stream the game to a Windows PC or a Mac with Sony's PS Remote Play app. It is still the PS5 running the game, not a PC version.

There is no official PC download. A "GTA 6 PC" file, crack or key on sale today does not come from Rockstar.

The PC wait is a meme now

Waiting for a release is the oldest GTA 6 joke there is: we keep the dated list of things we got before GTA 6. On release day the joke changes address and becomes "before GTA 6 on PC".
