The regions, in Rockstar's own descriptions

Rockstar's Only in Leonida page introduces six places. Our short summaries:

Vice City. Modern day Vice City, "still the sun and fun capital of America" decades after the 1980s of the old game: beaches, clubs, a skyline with a Ferris wheel. Rockstar's delay note in November 2025 called it "a return to modern day Vice City".
Leonida Keys. The island chain with bridges, seaplanes, beach bars, boat parties and diving. Jason works for local drug runners here, and Brian Heder still runs his boat yard here.
Grassrivers. Swamp country with airboats and alligators, which Rockstar calls "the untamable jewel of Leonida's crown".
Port Gellhorn. "Leonida's forgotten coast": motels, a cabaret club and quiet deals.
Ambrosia. An industrial town in the middle of the state, where a sugar refinery gives the jobs and a biker gang runs most of the rest.
Mount Kalaga National Park. Forests and trails on the state's northern border, with hunting, fishing, off-roading and people who live far from the government.

The in-game radio post adds the Grassrivers and Port Gellhorn as the home of a country station (Rockstar Newswire). Rockstar's edition pages name more spots: Ocean Beach and Shore Drive, Washington Beach and Gambit Bay, Stockyard, Lake Leonida, Watson Bay and Southside Vice City. In the game, Leonida's nickname is the Goodtime State.

How big is the GTA 6 map?

Rockstar has published no official size. On 27 August 2026, YouTuber TGG, who saw three hours of the game at Rockstar North, said he was told the map is twice the size of GTA V's and three times Red Dead Redemption 2's, and that Vice City alone is twice the size of Los Santos (PC Gamer). Treat it as a report, not a spec.

Is there an official map?

One you can hold: Rockstar's Vice City Collection, a collector's box sold on the Rockstar Store, includes a double-sided poster with the whole map of Leonida on the back. We do not reproduce game maps or screenshots on this site.
