The trailer vs real Florida
What looks like wild fiction in a game trailer is everyday life on the Florida coast. Don Chompo has lived in that pool the whole time. First posted on October 23, 2026.

Origin
Riffs on the “trailer vs real Florida” comparisons that went viral after the first GTA 6 trailer in December 2023 (an IGN post about it on 5 Dec 2023 passed 225,000 likes), where fans matched scenes like an alligator in a pool with real viral videos. Told with our own gator, no trailer frames.
What it means
Trailer viewers: a gator in a pool? So wild
Me, a Florida gator: I live here
- Don Chompo
- “I live here.” Chaos in the game and in life. He was always here.
- Format
- Trend: a remix of a trend that is going around right now.
How to use it
Use it whenever fiction copies reality: a “crazy” movie scene that happens on your street, a game character who acts like your uncle.

I Live Here (Don Chompo guards the pool)
I Live Here stars Don Chompo, the alligator who believes the motel pool belongs to him. Arms crossed behind a red velvet rope like a club bouncer, he guards whatever you put on top: the best spot on the couch, your place in a queue, the last slice of pizza, the group chat. Write the guarded thing on top and “I live here.” at the bottom. Use it for chaos that was always there, uninvited guests and anyone who refuses to move.
