Origin. Know Your Meme's GTA VI page dates a well-known example to 22 May 2020: an esports news account posted a real chase clip captioned "Leaked GTA 6 gameplay" and got about 26,000 likes. The format grew with every wave of hype.
How people use it. Dashcam clips, viral news videos and absurd local stories get the caption, sometimes with a fake game interface drawn on top. Once the trailers recreated Florida moments, the joke worked both ways: real life looks like the game, and the game looks like real life.
Example. For instance, a shaky phone video of a car stuck on a roundabout statue, captioned "leaked GTA 6 gameplay, the physics look great".
Such clips usually show real people, so for your own version use your own footage or a drawing.
